Our Services

Welcome to EHCP Insight. We simplify the complex journey of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP's). With extensive experience at every step, we are dedicated to supporting parents, and ensuring that children and young people receive the assistance they truly deserve. Let us guide you through the process with clarity and confidence.

EHC Application

A request for an EHC needs assessment can be made by yourself, through school, or we can do it for you. We will help to compile supporting evidence, write the application, and submit it to the LA on your behalf.

EHC Draft Check

This is a comprehensive review of your draft EHCP. We will closely examine any reports used to create the EHCP to ensure they are compliant with SEND law and legislation. If any discrepancies are found, we will seek clarification from professionals involved in your case and the local authority (LA). Each report will be compared against the EHCP to confirm that no important information has been overlooked by the LA. We also ensure that the language used is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-bound (SMART). Our findings are compiled into a report, supported by SEND law, legislation, and case law, and submitted to the LA as amendments.

3

Meeting support

We are here to provide virtual support for any meetings related to your child's EHCP. Before the meeting, we review all necessary paperwork and concentrate on the desired outcomes. During the meeting, we offer support and advocacy, and afterwards, we will prepare a comprehensive report.

4

Mediation

If the Local Authority (LA) has chosen not to assess or has declined to issue an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) after the assessment has been completed; you have the option to mediate with the LA before pursuing an appeal to the Tribunal. Mediation can lead to decisions being overturned; making it a valuable path to consider. We can assist you in selecting relevant evidence for the meeting, preparing and planning based on SEND and case law, and coaching you on key points to emphasise during mediation to help overturn the decision. Additionally, we will provide virtual support during the meeting itself.

5

Refuse to assess / Refuse to issue Appeal

If the Local Authority (LA) decides not to assess or issue an Education, Health and Plan (EHCP), you have the option to appeal this decision to the SEND Tribunal for a Judge's review. We can provide full representation up to the date, which includes gathering evidence, filing the appeal, and communicating with the LA. We will keep you updated regularly and ensure you're informed about the progress.

6

Contents Appeal (section B, F, I)

If you wish to challenge the contents of your child's EHCP, we can provide complete representation up to the hearing date. This service includes gathering evidence, submitting the appeal, contributing to the working document, and communicating with the local authority. We will keep you updated regularly to ensure you are fully updated of the progress.
